PDC invites you to join us on a 4-Day Weekend Dive Trip to dive the famous WWI and WWII Shipwrecks in Apra Harbor, the reefs, and blue hole, in the tropical waters of Guam!
This trip will include one day of diving the wrecks of the SMS Cormoran II (from World War I), and the Tokai Maru (from World War II), and two days of diving reefs and the blue hole.
ALL LEVELS OF CERTIFIED DIVERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN!
From NPS.gov:
"This is probably the most popular wreck diving site on Guam, and no wonder. Imagine the largely intact remains of a German raider (Cormoran) scuttled in 1917 on the day of America's entry into the "war to end all wars." Then, as if a study in irony was planned, the World War II Japanese armed transport Takai Maru joined her on the bottom in 1943. The ships lie in 130 feet of water and to see them both thoroughly takes at least two dives. The upper works of the Tokai and portions of the Cormoran can be seen on one dive less than 100 feet in depth. However, you should be on at least a 120-foot decompression schedule if you explore Cormoran more thoroughly."
The trip will include:
- A day of diving the shipwrecks,
- A day of diving at Blue Hole and "the Shark Pit", and,
- A day of reef diving
Hotel accommodations will be included in the trip cost, and published once known.
Trip itinerary will be published directly to attendees well in advance to give ample time for travel planning.
For those interested, please message us using the form at the bottom of the page.

PDC is planning a dive trip to Komodo National Park, for some of the world's BEST diving, to see mantas, sharks, rays, reefs, dugongs, and more, and to see Komodo Dragons!
This trip will take advantage of Komodo's "Stay and Dive" package, in which all dives and accommodations would be included though the dive resort.
ALL LEVELS OF CERTIFIED DIVERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN!
Komodo National Park is world-renowned for some of the best diving on the planet. With spectacular reefs, pelagic life of all kinds, large and small, and spectacular ecosystems, it has it all.
The national park sits in the heart of the coral triangle so we can explore an incredibly diverse range of over 200 species of coral. There isn’t many places in the world which can boast such healthy reefs, and the color and sheer abundance of life is sure to impress even the most experienced divers. The waters that surround Komodo and Rinca islands boasts a population of over 1000 manta rays, as well as eagle rays, devil rays, and marbled rays too. Several reef shark species, as well as over a 1000 species of reef fish, fill the reefs, and if you are lucky, you may even spot elusive marine mammals such as dolphins and dugongs. For the divers who are excited by the weird and wonderful, Komodo is also home to a huge variety of small marine life. The reefs and sands of Komodo are home to some rare macro species such as hairy shrimps, flamboyant cuttlefish, frogfish, a huge range of nudibranchs, a few different types of octopus and so much more!
Our trip will take place from Labuan Bajo, Komodo, whereby our group will head out by boat to the best areas throughout the park each day, for 3 dives a day, and return for a relaxing night back at the hotel.
All rental gear is included, with the sole exception being dive computers. So please make sure you bring yours (along with your logbook and certification) if you elect not to bring anything else.
And YES! Support for all diving configurations is available! Single tank, twins, sidemount, from rec to tech! Even CCR!
Divers will need to fly into Labuan Bajo, Komodo, Indonesia.
Trip itinerary will be published directly to attendees well in advance to give ample time for travel planning.
For those interested, please message us using the form at the bottom of the page.

PDC is planning a weekend dive trip to Motosuko (Motosu Lake) by Mt. Fuji for some camping and altitude diving.
Motosuko is one of the five famous mountain lakes formed by Mt. Fuji, and features camping, diving, hiking, paddle boarding, a variety of other activities, and a view of Mt. Fuji.
This trip will double as an Altitude Diver Specialty Course. So for anyone joining who intends to dive, the trip cost will equal enrollment in the course (unless you are already certified as an Altitude Diver, then a reduced price is available).
We will arrive Saturday morning by 0830, get checked in, and begin training that morning. By Lunch, we will complete final exams, and by Saturday afternoon, conduct our first two dives. Sunday morning will be our third and fourth certification dives, and all divers will be able to earn their Altitude Diver certification. We should be finished by the early afternoon on Sunday.
Participants have the options to arrive on Friday afternoon if they wish, or stay Sunday night and depart on Monday if they would like as well. If you'd like to take these options, please message us to make arrangements in advance.
Drysuits will be strongly encouraged due to the water temperatures in the the lake remaining consistently 10 degrees C year around at the thermocline, which means divers that use a drysuit will be required to own their own drysuit and be drysuit certified. If you do NOT own a drysuit, then a 7mm wetsuit with hood and gloves would be the next best option.
ALL LEVELS OF CERTIFIED DIVERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN!
Because this trip is "local" (within Japan), trip costs will NOT include transportation.
We will stay in a cabin at Motosu Campgrounds at the lake, affording the group opportunities to enjoy the outdoors the entire weekend.
CAUTION!
Weather may dictate this trip be shifted on the schedule forward or backward depending on rain or other storms. Please be advised, if the minimum number of people have already signed up, and bad weather is predicted during the trip's timeframe, it will not be cancelled, but shifted to another weekend instead, and all reasonable efforts will be made to work with the group for scheduling.
Trip itinerary will be published directly to attendees well in advance to give ample time for travel planning.
For those interested, please message us using the form at the bottom of the page.

Twin sister ship to the Nagato, the Mutsu is a Nagato Class Dreadnought Battleship, and the second largest battleship ever built, the Mutsu rests approximately 2km just off the Northern coast of SuoOshima, not far from Mutsu park. In June, 1943, she was anchored near SuoOshima when one of her aft magazines detonated, sinking the ship. 1,121 crew and visitors perished. The IJN investigation concluded that it was the work of a disgruntled crew member, yet some sources suggest it was the work of a US spy who planted a bomb. Much of the wreck was immediately dredged for scrap, leaving a large debris field around the remains. Today, the Mutsu rests in 30m of water, with the top of the ship becoming visible at between 12m and 15m, there is a surface buoy marking its location, and she can be dived relatively easily by boat or ocean kayak.
Do NOT use a US Government computer or email address to fill out this form! It will get flagged and filtered in the government system and will not go through! Please use a personal computer or smart phone, and a personal email address for all contact forms on our website. Thank you.
If you would like to join PDC on any of our scheduled trips listed above, or if you would simply like to join PDC on any regular fun dive weekend, or if you are in Japan or soon visiting, and are interested in PDC creating a dive trip for your group, please use this form to get the process started. We will respond to get as much information as able about the type of trip you’re looking for, and then make all the arrangements for you and/or your group, or help you make your own.
To register for any trip with PDC (or to inquire about creating your own trip for a group), simply fill out the form above on this page. Please list the name and dates of the trip you desire to join, list your full legal name, age, any equipment rental needs (or tell us if you plan to bring your own), and provide us with a detailed message as applicable.
Unfortunately no. We do not accept reservations for any of our scheduled trips via social media. To register for any of our listed trips, you must fill out and submit the form above.
Cash is only acceptable for trips within the local area (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Yamanashi) during normal fun-diving weekends, when reservations can be made locally. For any and all trips that require travel to a destination--both across Japan and internationally--payment in advance is required. Both credit and debit card payments may be made easily online via an online invoice sent to your email address from PDC (JDE) through Square. Additionally, bank transfers are possible for payment too.
Unless otherwise noted, mentioned in a post, or arrangements have been made with us by direct or email communication, deadlines for reservations to join in on any listed trip are typically no less than 60 days prior.
Please contact us and let us know you desire to join but need to pay at a date after the deadline. We're very reasonable and understanding when it comes to individual needs. In many cases, we can work something out to help you reserve your seat for a trip, and pay on a later date when you're able.
Almost every trip welcomes non-divers to join. If you would like to come with us, but are not a diver and will not be diving, please contact us and let us know! We can offer you a discounted price that does not include the diving part of the trip.
Absolutely! All trips are family friendly, and the more friends the better!
Everything depends. Where are you located? What time of year is it currently? When is the trip? Where is the trip going to? What are YOUR needs? Are we able to conduct the full course prior, or part of it prior and the remainder while at the destination? These are all important questions, and PDC is 100% willing to help you answer them. Please communicate with us your interests and needs, and we'll do our best to help.
Many trips go to locations where lots of other activities are offered. From snorkeling to surfing, local tours and treks, sight seeing and cuisine, even parasailing, kayaking, excursions, and more... If there are other activities possible at the destinations we visit, then we strongly encourage you to let us know what your interests are. Please remember, however, these are not included in the trip costs, and will be at your own expense.
If you register for a trip (local or international), OR if PDC makes advanced reservations for you at any destination in Japan, and you need to cancel for any reason, we completely understand. However, please also understand that some things may not be refundable after a certain period of time. Many hotels (for example) may refuse refunds for reservations made, or may only offer partial refunds up to a certain date, and shops at dive destinations also maintain their own cancellation policies as well.
Dive trip / advanced reservation costs with PDC are typically divided into the following components:
Refunds for PDC trips and advanced reservations therefore follow the current policy parameters:
For all cancelations of advanced reservations made through PDC with local diving shops, the following cancelation policy applies:
