PDC is an authorized, NAUI Approved VA Testing Center, and can help you reach your diving goals.
Pinnacle Diving Company is the service provider for all US military installations, SOFA members, and US veterans in the Kanto region of Japan, and while we provide English-speaking diving services and training equally to all, both military and civilian alike, we specialize in providing dive services and training opportunities to military members, SOFA members, veterans, and their dependents.
With NAUI, US Military Service Members, and dependents who are 18 years old and older that have received their sponsor's benefits, can use their G.I. Bill® benefits to pay for scuba certification and license exams.
This program is designed for veterans by veterans. Service members can use one month of G.I. Bill® benefits per certification or license exam, and can progress as far as they want.
You can choose from a wide selection of NAUI programs, from first learning to dive, to improving your diving skills with advanced and specialty programs, all the way up to becoming a dive professional.
Service members who qualify can be reimbursed for their certifications and licensing exams. Restrictions follow same guidelines as the VA licensing and certification reimbursement program – please refer to this website: https://www.va.gov/education/about-gi-bill-benefits/how-to-use-benefits/test-fees/

If you have already applied for your benefits, and just need to find out how many months of benefits you have left, please visit the VA website at:
https://www.va.gov/education/gi-bill/post-9-11/ch-33-benefit/.
and follow the steps on how to check your benefits.
Download and save your VA "Statement of Benefits" letter in PDF format to your computer, and additionally, print out a copy to keep in a safe place (just in case). You will need this letter for the next step.
Download and fill out the Medical Questionnaire found below on this page (electronically fillable). Follow the instructions just above the form. If you need a doctor to sign page 3, get your evaluation completed before moving on to step 4.
Next, fill out the enrollment form at the bottom of this page and submit.
We will respond to you by email as soon as able to discuss your goals.
When we respond, we will ask you for a copy of both your Medical Questionnaire AND your VA Statement of Benefits letter (the letter that verifies you do indeed have benefits, and how many months of benefits you have available to you).
We will ALSO ask you for more information in order to complete your enrollment in your course.
After we have your medical form, your VA benefits letter, and the required information, we can complete your enrollment.
We will send you an electronic invoice to your email address (please check your spam folder), payable online by using any major debit or credit card (bank transfer also available separately; please tell us in advance if this is how you wish to pay).
Once paid, we will setup your NAUI Core account (unless you already have an account), assign training dates, and help you get started.
After you have access to your academics through your NAUI Core account, you'll be able to begin!
Go take your course, complete your academics and training, and take all associated exams with Pinnacle Diving Company!
Upon completion of all exams, Pinnacle Diving Company staff will give you THREE documents, and printed step-by-step instructions, so you can submit these documents to the VA for reimbursement.
This process will reimburse you 100% for your costs paid at the beginning.
All reimbursements from the VA are done in the order they are received, but it is not uncommon for the VA to take about 30 to 60 days to process your reimbursement.
If you are a US Military Service Member looking to make diving your new career, reach out to us to discuss the possibility of interning during your last 180 days in uniform.
Please download this form (fillable PDF) and read the information and instructions carefully.
Fill in pages 1 and 2, and date and sign where indicated.
If you answer "yes" to any of the questions, DON'T WORRY! This may not mean you won't be able to train and get certified, but it does mean you will need to see your doctor (preferably a doctor familiar with dive medicine), and have them evaluate those answers.
Page 3 is for your doctor should you need to see one.
Do NOT use a US Government computer or email address to fill out this form! It will get flagged and filtered in the government system and will not go through! Please use a personal computer or smart phone, and a personal email address for all contact forms on our website. Thank you.
PLEASE FILL IN THE INFORMATION BELOW, AND A STAFF MEMBER WILL GET BACK TO YOU AS SOON AS ABLE TO DISCUSS THE PROGRAM AND ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE.
*Please be sure to download and fill out the medical waiver above. You can either fill it out and sign it digitally and include it in this email, or print it, fill it out and sign it, and then scan and submit it with the form.
