Do I NEED to be in Japan to join your international trips?!

We get asked this all the time, and the answer is "no".

You can come from any location around the world to join us on any of our international dive trips!

We know divers all over the world, many of them who were our students or dive buddies who moved away at some point, and we want everyone to be able to come together for some epic diving, no matter where they may be. We purposely do not include travel costs in our trips for exactly this reason, so that no matter where you are located, you can join us.

Therefore, even if you are not in Japan, please do not let that stop you from inquiring and signing up! You are most welcome, and we would love to have you with us. In fact, trips would be far more enjoyable with your company. :)

New Year Boracay Dive Trip

Pinnacle Diving Company and Wicked Squid Divers have teamed up many times to offer divers a tropical paradise dive trip to Boracay, Philippines.

When we go, this trip is hosted by Wicked Squid Divers, Boracay’s BEST dive operation, where our group enjoys world-class diving including wrecks, coral reefs, and even dramatic shelf drop-offs, filled with sea life, in pristine warm, clear waters.

Complete dive gear is readily available for all upon arrival, so everyone can travel light, and all types of diving are possible, from Rec to Tec. For those who have their own dive gear and choose to bring it, that’s ok too.

When we’re not in the water, we spend 6 days and 5 nights along beautiful white-sand beaches with amazing views. Additionally, activities are also available for everyone, even non-divers, and both the beach and night life are the perfect way to unwind after dives.

Additionally, a day trip is always scheduled to the Malumpati Cold Springs at the end to give the whole group a day to unwind, decompress, and relax. You can enjoy a float trip down the river, jump from a high dive platform, and we even have BBQ ready to go for lunch.

Escape the hustle and crowds for a week of beautiful beaches, amazing diving, great food, relaxation, and a time you’ll never forget.

TRAVEL NOTICE:

Flights should be booked to Caticlan Airport (MPH), which usually results in an overnight layover in Manila (MNL). If you fly into Manila the day prior, it is highly likely your connecting flight to MPH will not be until early the next morning. Expect to arrive at MPH on the morning of the first scheduled day. Further details for pickup arrangements will be emailed to group participants.

Not certified as a diver yet? NO PROBLEM.

Contact us anyway if you would still like to go but do not want to dive! We can offer a reduced price that doesn't include the diving.

Additionally, if you'd like to go and dive, but are not certified yet, you can register for your Open Water SCUBA Diver course now, complete your academics and confined water training here locally before you leave, and either get certified before you go, or complete your certification during the first two days when you get there.

Availability and Costs

The Diver cost for this trip is: $600 USD

The Non-Diver cost for this trip is: $200 USD, and includes joining the group and the Cold Springs trip.

PAYMENT NOTES:

*The minimum Down Payment required to secure your seat for this trip is: $300 USD

**Partial Payments on the same invoice are accepted until the invoice is paid in full.

A minimum of 8 divers are required for the trip to take place. If less than 8 divers sign up, the trip will be pushed back to a different date.

- Ten boat dives for 5 days in some spectacular locations with WSD.

- Dive guide fees.

- Full rental equipment, tanks, weights, and everything else needed for diving is all included.

- Island fees and taxes, including the environmental tax.

- Travel from the shop to and from dive sites each day.

- Boat fees and fuel consumption costs.

- Malumpati Cold Springs day trip with BBQ.

F.A.Q's for Dive Trips

How do I register for a trip?

To register for any trip with PDC (or to inquire about creating your own trip for a group), simply fill out the form above on this page. Please list the name and dates of the trip you desire to join, list your full legal name, age, any equipment rental needs (or tell us if you plan to bring your own), and provide us with a detailed message as applicable.

Can't I just message you via social media to register?

Unfortunately no. We do not accept reservations for any of our scheduled trips via social media. To register for any of our listed trips, you must fill out and submit the form above.

Can I pay by cash or credit card?

Cash is only acceptable for trips within the local area (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Yamanashi) during normal fun-diving weekends, when reservations can be made locally. For any and all trips that require travel to a destination--both across Japan and internationally--payment in advance is required. Both credit and debit card payments may be made easily online via an online invoice sent to your email address from PDC (JDE) through Square. Additionally, bank transfers are possible for payment too.

What are the deadlines for registration?

Unless otherwise noted, mentioned in a post, or arrangements have been made with us by direct or email communication, deadlines for reservations to join in on any listed trip are typically no less than 60 days prior. However, the sooner the better!

I want to join, but I can't pay until sometime after the deadline, what do I do?

Please contact us and let us know you desire to join but need to pay at a date after the deadline. We're very reasonable and understanding when it comes to individual needs. In many cases, we can work something out to help you reserve your seat for a trip, and pay on a later date when you're able.

I am not a diver, can I still join?

Almost every trip welcomes non-divers to join. If you would like to come with us, but are not a diver and will not be diving, please contact us and let us know! We can offer you a discounted price that does not include the diving part of the trip.

I have family / friends who would like to join, is this possible?

Absolutely! All trips are family friendly, and the more friends the better!

I'd like to join one of your trips, but I'm not a diver yet. Can I get certified before the trip?

Everything depends. Where are you located? What time of year is it currently? When is the trip? Where is the trip going to? What are YOUR needs? Are we able to conduct the full course prior, or part of it prior and the remainder while at the destination? These are all important questions, and PDC is 100% willing to help you answer them. Please communicate with us your interests and needs, and we'll do our best to help.

I'd like to do other activities while on a trip, is this possible?

Many trips go to locations where lots of other activities are offered. From snorkeling to surfing, local tours and treks, sight seeing and cuisine, even parasailing, kayaking, excursions, and more... If there are other activities possible at the destinations we visit, then we strongly encourage you to let us know what your interests are. Please remember, however, these are not included in the trip costs, and will be at your own expense.

What are the cancellation and refund policies?

This is a very important question indeed!

If you register for a trip (local or international), OR if PDC makes advanced reservations for you at any destination in Japan, and you need to cancel for any reason, we completely understand. However, please also understand that some things may not be refundable after a certain period of time. Many hotels (for example) may refuse refunds for reservations made, or may only offer partial refunds up to a certain date, and shops at dive destinations also maintain their own cancellation policies as well.

Dive trip / advanced reservation costs with PDC are typically divided into the following components:

Accommodation costs at destination during stay (if included).
Travel in and around (airport to hotel, boat fees, to and from dive sites, etc.) while at destination (if included).
Set number of dives planned for the trip (additional dives are typically always possible, but are at own expense).
Dive shop reservations and facility usage fees.
Professional dive guides (for locations that require a guide by policy).
Meals (some shops are willing to provide meals with advanced reservations).

Refunds for PDC international trips and advanced reservations therefore follow the current policy parameters:

Up to 30 days prior, and/or before dive and accommodation reservations have been secured: 100% (minus transaction fees and tax).
Up to 30 days prior, but after dive and/or accommodation reservations have been secured: 100% (minus transaction fees, tax, and remainder dependent on the refund policy of the operator and/or hotel reservations).
Less than 30 days prior: Refund not be possible.

What is PDC's dismissal policy?

A difficult question, and unfortunately an important one...

Participants (divers or otherwise) who, prior to or during a trip, exhibit attitude issues or disciplinary problems toward staff, hosting operators, other participants, or any other parties directly or indirectly involved, may be separated or dismissed from a trip at any time.

This policy covers rude or disrespectful attitudes or behavior, disruptive behavior, behavior that poses a danger to the individual or others, behavior that violates safety standards, instructions, or policies, illegal activities, or that has otherwise become a disciplinary problem toward staff, operators, other parties, and/or other participants.

PDC reserves the right to offer warnings (verbally or written, private or public), or to take adverse action, or both, at all times, in order to maintain a safe environment and good order and discipline, and this policy exists to protect other participants, PDC staff, hosting operators, the individual themselves, and all other parties involved either directly or indirectly.

Depending on the severity of a situation, staff have the right to correct behavior or attitudes, separate an individual from the group at the individual's expense, and even dismiss a participant from the trip entirely at any time.

Individual's who have been separated must pay for separate accommodations, transportation, and/or other events at their own expense, and might not be allowed to participate with certain trip activities.

Individual's who are dismissed before or during a trip are not entitled to a refund of any kind, and may even be permanently black-listed from not only PDC, but also by the other involved parties, if the situation is severe enough.
